Building Types Online

The database Birkhäuser Building Types Online is a resource for the study and practice of architectural design.

The database includes content from 12 previously published Birkhäuser publications (2002-2016), comprising more than 850 case studies and more than 120 articles on specific aspects of building design. All in all, it contains approx. 1800 photos and 3500 plans.

IUPAC Standards Online

IUPAC Standards Online is a database built from IUPAC’s standards and recommendations, extracted from the journal Pure and Applied Chemistry (PAC).

The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) is the organization responsible for setting the standards in chemistry that are internationally binding for scientists in industry and academia, patent lawyers, toxicologists, environmental scientists, legislation, etc.

The database will be the only product that provides for the quick and easy search and retrieval of IUPAC’s standards and recommendations which until now have remained unsorted within the huge Pure and Applied Chemistry archive.

NANO Online

NANO Online offers a comprehensive coverage of the subject area nano science and technology. This database allows for easy access to research results from all disciplines active in this area – including physics, chemistry and materials science as well as engineering and medicine. Due to a carefully chosen classification system and massive linking between entries, the user can find relevant and related information quickly.

The database includes more than 1,900 entries (an equivalent of more than 15,000 print pages) and annual updates of 250 entries (about 5,000 print pages) will supply state-of-the-art research results.

Treasury of Linguistics Maps

The e-resource Treasury of Linguistic Maps presents linguistic maps selected from various atlases and other publications that have been published over the years by De Gruyter Mouton and other De Gruyter imprints. Thanks to specific search functionalities (e.g. category/subdiscipline, language described in the map, geographical location, period described), Treasury of Linguistic Maps is a unique and indispensable resource for visualized information on various topics in linguistics.
